John Keane is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in the Vancouver animation industry. He spent 15 years at Atomic Cartoons, where he served as a key member of the creative team as Storyboard Director. John has also contributed his talents to other studios including WildBrain (formerly DHX Media), Bardel Entertainment, Kickstart, Relish and Mainframe.

John’s primary areas of expertise include storyboard supervision and direction, head of story, as well as work as a storyboard artist, character designer, and illustrator.

In addition, John brings over 14 years of experience in training and mentoring story teams and individual artists, helping them strengthen their core competencies and further develop their creative and professional skills as they advance in their careers.

John also has extensive experience training artists in Storyboard Pro and Blender hybrid workflows as well as Blender Grease Pencil.
